During the past several years the Federal Government has cut back or eliminated funding
for a number of Veterans programs, including the Veterans Reintegration Project. The V. R. P. was designed
as a last resort safety net for the homeless Vet. It's funding has
been cut completely and the project abandoned. Since it's inception in 1962 the United States Mission has made a special effort
to seek out Veterans and help as many as we can regain a place in the mainstream. Many of the senior staff throughout the Mission System are Veterans, with a deep understanding of the feelings of abandonment and alienation suffered by many homeless Vets. Over the years we have received many accolades from Government and Private organizations
for our efforts. |
